The Stone Roses we're a band from the Manchester scene about 20 years ago, and although they only released 2 studio albums and a few compilations of unreleased tracks and remixes, they made (in my opinion) some of the best music of the time and since. Unfortunately due to tensions in the band they broke up after their second album. (not the best bio ever but what the hey, ill let the music speak for itself!).

Stone Roses were awesome.

Their debut is pretty much one of the best albums of all time. I even like their later stuff even though they started to lose it... a bit like Oasis have really! I love Ian Brown's solo work too. He's a very clever songwriter, even if he does look like a monkey.

Fools Gold, I Am the Resurrection and Waterfall have all gotta be up there with the best songs of all time.

i love mersey paradise even though its a bit of a rip off of here comes the sun by the beatles.

i saw a tribute band recently "the clone roses" cheesy as hell name, but they were so good! Ian Browns one of the best lyricists ever and i just love his voice.
