| Peardrops Falling In Love With The Board Age: 19 Gender: Female Posts: 9434 | I'M SENDING A LETTER TO THE MOFF Dear “The Moff” (as you have been affectionately dubbed by many Whovians.), First of all, congratulations on getting the head writer position! They couldn’t have picked a better person for the job and I apologise in advance for how sycophantic I sound. I know you’ll do a fantastic job at continuing the great gay agenda set out by Russell T. Davis. This letter actually does have a point, several of them in fact. The first is please, please bring Adric back for the new series. I know he’s supposed to have died back when Peter Davison was The Doctor but really now, how many times have The Daleks and The Cybermen supposed to have been gone for good? As far as I am aware they never actually proved he had died (just because he was on that ship when it exploded, psh.) and surely that means maybe he could have survived but been unable to contact The Doctor? A grown up Adric would be brilliant! I would honestly cry more tears of happiness over The Doctor finding Adric again than I did when he found Rose. Please, please, please, please, please Mr. Moffat! Just to back track a little, can we please stop with all The Daleks and The Cybermen for a while? They’re awesome and classic in every way but I’d love to see the return of The Autons or that weird monster that looked like Bertie Bassett. It does wear a little thin when it seems like every other episode has Dalek Caan (who, by the way, can return whenever he wants as long as he’s mental like in the series four finale) and company besieged by Cybermen and friends. I won’t say no to brand new aliens either. (Perhaps you should make a planet called “Squee!” Which is home to the fangirl tribe.) Another villain I’d love to see return is The Master, of course. I can never get tired of that man whoever he is played by. I was a little disappointed that new Master wasn’t bearded, but then again I’ve seen John Simm with a beard and it just doesn’t look right. To tell you the truth, the first episode I watched from the new series was Utopia because I heard John Simm was playing The Master in it (Derek Jacobi was also awesome). Although I don’t think we’ll ever again have the brilliance of Delgado’s Master, I’d still love to see him come back. Stop making The Doctor so lonely! That’s all for my pleading, the only other thing I want to point out is how disappointed I was with the way Ianto and Gwen were treated in the series four finales. We spent months on our little Doctor Who message boards gossiping excitedly about what part Ianto would play in the finale and whether he would get on with The Doctor when they met. And what happened? Bugger all! We spent months waiting for about four minutes of screen time! What an absolute cop out =( . Thanks for reading my ramblings, hopefully you’ll take some of them to heart (Adric! Adric! Adric!) Best of luck for the new series, although I’m already positive it’ll be fabulous. From Corinne. Then someone tries to shoot one of them. Erm. I saw this a long while ago. It was definitely Tom Baker. And I would describe these monsters as large termite mounds covered in brown shaggy carpet.  |
