The sky is but a day full
of hopes and dreams,

but we are a rainy day.
The sunshine rays provide
warmth to the cool touch
of haunting darkness dwelling
inside.

In the city,
we live as gray clouds and the hills
of lush green grass and rolling flowers
have become much
too sparse; like forgotten clean memories.

Desperation and despair conclude
a life of happiness and success
as I learned walking through the dense
forest. I turned left at a hidden fork,

but no difference was discovered-
No solution only desolation. You
can’t find solace in a season,

let alone in such a death
season as winter.

The intricate patterns of
a snowflake offer no tales
of advice. The flakes fall as
heavenly spirits, but they will never bless
you.

Offer a resolution to the Spring-
to the river running a
dirge throughout our hearts.
Make ties to the river to derive
all worthiness.

If you can’t see yourself-
drown in the shallow
water of your reflection,
but don’t let anyone ever see you.

I absolutely loved it, especially that beautifully haunting last verse. Some of your metaphors were just gorgeous, seriously.
