The world is a pretty pathetic place
when you got no soul.
What dark flutters of the heart
snake like abominations?
I cannot feel the thin blue pulse
just worming its way under my skin.
What is a next of kin? There will be nothing
to say when I go.
Slivers of saliva look silver in the pale
and sick moonlight. I have no fiery
Sun today, I want to live in a stasis
of darkness. Shivering in the cold
shadows of love, such absolute
zero degrees melt the
frost on my heart. Can you hear my
thoughts so far away? I feel my mind
is lost and utterly facile.
I have no intelligence spare,
no courage for sale. Slip me another
sleeping pill and I'll forget the
world in a sugarcoated heap.
I am asleep until next week but
my eyes are open and I move
in a zombie pace.
What an advertisement for a good
member of the human race. |

I loved the internal rhyme thing that you did at the end, because I thought it gave that idea of lasting oppression as suggested human advertisement. Of course, I could be reading so much into it that I'm digging deeper than Sydney.
