If The Blahs Ever Come Back...

Maybe the Blahs should be better moderated? A mod should probably write a Blog explaining why so much of GSB is being taken down, for those of us who were barely involved. I'm not sure how bad it got that it had to be deleted, but I would like a complete explanation.

I honestly think some people are just immature. Maybe we need more mods?

This is like my idea that I came up with:
Okay, I think that we should have a few people monitoring the BlahBlah's, like a filter, so if a user disobay's the BlahBlah rules, they get a warning. The next time they do it, they get a warning and a three day suspension from the BlahBlah. Then, if they do it a thrid time, ban them permenantly from the BlahBlah's.

Of course the warnings and bans and that can be changed... that was just an example so you kinda get what I am thinking.

And so that no one can sneak onto the BlahBlah's while they are banned or suspended or something, just set something up so they see the site like it is now, NO Blah Blah link for them to go to... It's just .. gone for them..

This might be harder work for the mods, admins and Dujo, but it might be a good solution. What do you think?
what kind of things will get you warnings?

Dujo and the mods/admins would have to make up the rules for the BlahBlah. I cant do that for them. They should post them on the main Blah Blah page or something..

Good ideas... but people who can't get over the fact that they can't say "fuck" anymore don't deserve any of that.

Mederating blahs is a really good idea, cause then we won't have to have the ceoncering thing but everything will still be good for most ages.

You're right Dujo. I just wanted to get this out there, so that maybe you could think about it. It might be more work for people but it MIGHT make the blahblah's a bit more civilized. I thought that I'd at least give some of them a second chance, though some dont deserve that.

You know what's funny? The original plan was to censor comments cause they appear everywhere (profiles, blogs, fanart, wallpapers, news...) and those pages get blocked by some programs/browsers cause they contain "bad" words.

You just had to accept that... but no... you started posting blah blahs just to swear and to piss people off... so the blahs got censored... What happened after that? This:



..so after getting rid of the tagboard the only thing left was the Blah Blah section.. Of course, that didn't stop you...


By "you" I mean people who post Blah Blahs...

Is there any way, like we had before where swear words would be cencored, that every Blah would be preread and if it doesn't apply to the rules, it doesn't get posted? I don't know if there is, but if there is, that might help. Just an idea.

And Kurtni, you have a very very good point. If I was a Mod, I, personally, wouldn't want to watch over the blahblah's and cencore them or punish the users.. But I have no idea how we could get the blah blahs back without haveing someone monitor them.....

I'd do it, but yeah I'm not a mod. So I guess the idea has kind of fallen and the best way to solve the problem is to get rid of blahs.

Thats not really the issue I'd have with blahs, the way some people reacted, some of the hateful things they said, and spamming up the blog section make me not want to moderate blahs because at this point alot of people don't deserve them back.

I personally, am fine with the censorship. It was not my choice to make.

And as for the blahs, If we never get them back, oh well. I made a transition to Mibba.Plus I can use the message boards, or profile comments.

We don't need that, BlahBlahs are not important.. you can post anything you want as long as you follow the rules, don't start "riots" and things like that.

You'll get everything back... just accept the fact that we have some rules you need to follow. There's no reason to get mad about it... the rules are fair and they all make sense.

Okay. I'll wait pationtly and just see what happens.

Thanks for not taking away our blog privaledges too after that whole fiasco. I know we probably deserved them to be gone as well.

Im glad people are at least a little civilized here. For some reasons I'm glad the Blahs are gone. People were a little harsh on there. I was just sitting there patiently waiting for someone to get banned. And after a little while, the Blah's were gone.

But I do miss them. but people can use PM's and stuff. It's not like it was the end of the world.

I agree with everyone here. I just can't believe someone posted a blah blah saying "FUCK DUJO!" and "CENSOR THIS!"

It brought shame over GSB. And yes, as for the blogs--I tried to defend Dujo, and the mods because everyone was pissed about mostly everyone getting banned for cursing.
None the less, they got banned too. Dujo, and the mods don't deserve this.
Look at what they have done for you. Made a site that is a home away from home for you, and this is how you repay them?

Im just...Shocked. I even got bashed for saying my opinion on how to stop whining about Davey and everyone getting banned. Saying they didn't deserve it. But they did deserve it.

If I was a mod, I wouldn't even know where to begin with stopping everyone before. Telling them wasn't going to work, so I know why the blahs were taken away. I'm just glad the site is still up.

Do you know what people? This isn't your site. The adminstration can do whatever they please. If you don't like it, you can leave. No one asked you to come and no one is asking you to stay.

But it's sad that you had to because it just go's to show how immature some people are on here and that you need to punish them. And the ones that didn't have anything to do with it and followed the rules have to suffer.
