| Revenge;; Geek  Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 270  | Ghost In The Fog. Shining with a dull glow Floating over the yellow painted lines On the cold, black concrete road (Show The Way). Glaring through the misty air Bright car lights coming at full speed It doesn’t phase him It’ll go right on through Like everything else does. Marching along Ghostly riffle in hand His destination? The great war zone. Only thing running through his mind Are visions of his fellow man falling in combat His yells for revenge Left him in between worlds. He hums his little tune A lullaby from his childhood He never stops marching The road never ends He senses his dead body near. Running at full speed He can’t step off the road He’s bound for eternity. He screams once more No one hears He’s in the middle of nowhere Then again, he’s dead after all. He sucks it up Fixates his green army suit He’ll march on. He prays from his ghostly heart That the great, bright light will come And come soon. He’s weary, broken, and defeated He gives up; now crawling A great, bright light appears Is he finally going home? |
