I once helped prove that the Red Shift Theory (a Theory that helps along the whole expansion/cpntraction theory) to be rubbish with this scientist dude.
We figured out that in order for the line spectrum to shift to the redder end of the specturm, the galexies would need to travel faster than light, like 7 times it.
Yea, and if an object (like a planet) appears red it is moving towards you, and if it seems blue, it's moving away.

Sometimes I think it's weird that we live and exist.

How do you know you're not dreaming?

Reminds me of Vanilla Sky.
...But if it were like Vanilla Sky then Gary Oldman would be beside me in bed right now. But he isn't...
*Checks.*
No, not there.

Yeash!
But me and Mr ScientistwhoI'veforgottonthenameof figured out it was more of a temperature and pressure thing than speed.

I believe in time travel, aliens and life on Mars.
There is life on Mars...it's just not...intelligent. It's microbiotic.

Yeah, like what is the universe on? If it expands always then what is it expanding onto? IS it just dark space? What is that dark space? _O_OO_Oo-o-o So many questions.....
I believe that there is life out there other than on Earth. I mean if you think how BIG the universe is why would WE be the ONLY planet with life on it?

They say infinity is too great a concept to be understood by the human mind.
I say it's true. Even if you think you know what infinity would look like, there's still somewhat an end, no?
And if the Universe is expanding, what's beyond it? What is it expanding in?
Ah. I'd need Kevin, now. He's good at debates like that.

You're mistaking the definition of universe.
My physics teacher once told my class that 'the universe is everything, but it is also everywhere'
It might be really hard to understand, but it's true.

No, actually. That answers my question. Well kind of. I still can't imagine what infinity is like, but that makes a lot of sense.

I used this as my arguement that 'straight' does not actually exist.
If you stand on a supposedly 'straight' plane and had super good eyesight, and the time to do this, should the horizen be truely straight, it would have to riseso that all you could see was the plane you are standing on. And give yourself enough time, with a very powerful telescope, you could see the back of your head.
That is what the 'ends' on the universe is like if there were figures as such. And that is or isn't infinity.
Of course, this is impossible, a bit like the infinite and 'straight'.

The Universe is everything and everywhere o_O That seems understandable BUT if it is everything and everywhere why does it still expand to itself?.....obviously Im not rocket surgeon [XD] but I dont get it, you know. Didn't Stephen Hawking say that The Universe was so complex we will never understand it and maybe science is wasting time trying too? :O
