 | August 7th, 2007 at 07:36pm What a strange fascination:
Blue and translucent,
Yellow and soft,
And glowing...
Yes it's glowing, shining, bursting
Burning!
Of course it's burning, fire burns.
Fire burns pretty, it burns.
I'm no pyromaniac.
This is no psychotic love
But fascination, simple fascination.
And what a strange fascination to have!
The interesting thing about this poem was that I was writing it chemistry class and in the first verse, I was about to write "blue and yellow" but stopped and though how familiar that phrase sounded. And I was like "oh! That song by The Used!" and it occurred to me that the song might be about fire, though I've never even heard it...

Thank you.

 | August 9th, 2007 at 07:00pm I loved the imagery of the yellow flame.
It really owned.
And what a strange fascination to have!
I would have put:
And such a strange fascination to have!
But that's me wanting t sound totally pompous.
