| Bloodraine Post Whore Age: 17 Gender: Female Posts: 24531 ![]() | In Utero: I don't know about that. I mean, it's well known fact that Gordon Brown and Tony Blair hated eachother's guts. And Labour have won 3 terms in office, two of them landslides. So their disagreements didn't kill their party. It isn't really the same, but yeah. I like to think that people in America would vote for a candidate on the basis of policy and who would be the best leader, not just, 'oh, i'm sick of you, so I'll vote for McCain'. |
| Franny. Falling In Love With The Board Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5241 | In Utero: That is the main issue about this divide in the Democratic Party at the moment. Voters will be tired of the fighting between the two and will either vote for McCain or not vote at all. It's why many people are hoping one of them [so far Clinton] will drop out so the voters will be interested again and the party can have time to unite. If this back and forth doesn't end soon, McCain will have a really easy ride to the white house. He's starting to appeal to conservatives and having Mitt Romney campaign for him is really helping. If only McCain made Romney his running mate, he'll receive less heat from the right wingers. But if he chooses Lieberman [which many are believing], he'll have more trouble. One thing I wish Dems would let go of is Al Gore. He has said many times he doesn't want to run, and he won't! Don't write him in, he doesn't want that job. I hope Dems won't waste their vote for someone who doesn't even want to become president. Is the want 'change' starting to die out among the liberals and instead replaced by nostalgia? Liberals should hope the mess is resolved soon for the sake of the Democratic Party. |

| Kurtni Moderator Age: 16 Gender: Female Posts: 32864 ![]() | Bloodraine: Fact of the matter is, Democrats hate Republicans more than they hate Hillary and Obama bitching at each other I have to agree with Meg here. Its funny to me though how many Republicans have been voting for Obama in the primaries though, because they hate McCain so much. Or Obamicans as CNN likes to call them. |
| NeoSteph Basket Case Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 16411 ![]() | I can't seem to stop watching Fox news lately, its better than desperate housewives. Did these people go to the sesame street school of media. That station has huge ratings so there must be a large percentage of the media who agree with them or take what their saying to be truthful. All news stations manipulate the news so that is sides with their politics but FOX goes beyond that, they just publicly attack with absolutely no proof. Or they take the damaging truth such as some unclear things in the obama campaign and stretch it to the point that i'm sure i'm gonna tune in one day and their will be a pick of Obama shaking hands with bin laden and carrying an oozy. It is not legal how they operate. |
| Rocker Chic King For A Couple Of Days Age: 15 Gender: Female Posts: 2001 ![]() | The media contorts everything - period. You can't believe anything they say. |
| NeoSteph Basket Case Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 16411 ![]() | Poette: There are codes of conduct in the industry that are supposed to be followed, well there are in Britain. Its not as black and white as the print, with the ever growing world effecting us, you have to trust the media to some degree and sort of fine tune your bullshit reader or else you live in a bubble. The majority of what you will ever learn or know is brought to you by secondary source so thats how it becomes distorted but their will be a fraction of truth to it, but FOX don't even seem to have a beginning to their facts. With maybe half of the obama crap coming out you will find evidence that he need to shape up his game but some of the stuff i've read on their website, i'm sure he could sue them for slander and win enough to support his presidential campaign, that would be a kick in the ass for Murdoch, funding a democrat. Really this rant is all about the fact i wish to punch Bill O'reilly in the mouth. The loufa loving fool. |
| Franny. Falling In Love With The Board Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 5241 | NeoSteph: I've always loved Fox. They truly believe in what they say and everyone else is the fool. O'Reilly may say some outlandish things, but he really is smart. He's very right wing [duh] but that doesn't make him unintelligent -- he has his moments. I think it's amazing how popular Fox Noise Channel is! No wonder why people think Americans are ignorant...too many of them are watching FNC. Ah the loofa thing makes me laugh every time! Olbermann talking about it is even funnier So the Philly primaries are Tuesday! Who's going to get it? I think it's going to be quite close so only single digit numbers apart. I wish Clinton would just drop out by now so I can see some McCain and Obama action [oh god that sounded terrible >.<] |
| Shadow of a Doubt Addict Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 10713 | Franny.: Thank you. I was going to reply to her post, but I didn't know what to say. That's why I deleted the post above. What you said, I totally agree with. Fox News is the only thing I watch. But every news station is out of control. Yes, even Fox News. I know they aren't perfect. The media is taking over us though. Bill O'Reilly rocks my socks btw. As for the Philly primaries I think Clinton is going to win. And I kind of want her to. ![]() I may be Republican, but I can still choose which Democratic candidate I like best. =P |
| NeoSteph Basket Case Age: 20 Gender: Female Posts: 16411 ![]() | Franny.: I don't dislike FOX, i find myself watching it most evenings out of fascination. But anything rupert murdoch controlls sends up red flags in my head XD I do agree that credit should be given for them voicing their opinions without the need to try and balance out the perspective so if they were merely a discussion station then i'd probably be a number one fan. But their point of view is promoted as fact, which shouldn't happen in a news station. Bill O'reilly is not a smart person, if he was he wouldn't need to shout over his guests or publicly humiliate them with no actual cause. Intelligent people can win an argument without raising their voice above a whisper because your points transcends volume. Billo seems incapable of doing this and he seems to be able to trick his audience into thinking he's won a debate by shouting the loudest and awarding himself 'winner' Nver heard of FNC, we just get regular fox. Well ignorance is bliss. |
