BOOK/MOVIE: Candy

A poet (Ledger) falls in love with an art student (Cornish) who gravitates to his bohemian lifestyle -- and his love of heroin. Hooked as much on one another as they are on the drug, their relationship alternates between states of oblivion, self-destruction, and despair.

This movie is absolutely INCREDIBLE.
Heath Ledger completely reaches his peek in this role.
The whole time I was watching this, I believe my mouth was wide open.
It. Was. Fucking. Insane.

I strongly suggest you watch this. I am not kidding when I say it will blow you away.
It will break your heart, but it's so worth watching.

I picked up the book from Barnes & Noble, and it's exactly what I expected: a shot of heroin. I can honestly say that this is one of the best books I've ever read. The movie leaves out alot of things, but I think it's good they did, because there's so many extremeties in it. It's a very graphic book, but also very good.

Alright, I've babbled about how much I love this movie/book enough.

I watched it about two weeks ago. I thought it was a great movie, though it was heartbreaking in a way. I'll have to read the book...
