 | July 26th, 2010 at 03:13am I'm all for it because I'm engaged to an eighteen year old who I love very very much. People tell me I'm too young to know what love is, but love comes in all shapes and sizes. In my opinion, as long as they don't have sex or anything it's fine, but that's how I feel about all unmarried relationships. -shrugs- |

You're life is just starting, you probably live with your parents and are underestimating real life. you shouldnt get engaged till you're a proper adult. Enjoy your relationship and your youth first. (and I'm not trying to be an ass)
on topic: it depends on the age of the minor, like when one off them is 18 and the other is like 13 then, to me, that just seems wrong. But when the other is like 16/17 then I don't really see a problem with that. |

yeah, i agree with you. a couple of years apart isn't that bad. a lot of married couples are about a year, give or take, apart. |

 | July 31st, 2010 at 03:38pm Okay, I don't think age really makes a difference... my best friend's parents are like 10 years apart and they've been married for a long time. (going back to the actual topic) I get that it's like "illegal" or whatever for an 18 year old to be with a minor, especially a sexual relationship, but in my opinion, I don't find it that bad. |

 | August 3rd, 2010 at 04:33pm I think it's fine if its rasonable.
I don't think that a 15 year old and a 20 year old should.
But is like, 17 and 20 years old that werid?
Think about it, when the 17yo is 20 the 20yo will only be 23,
And no one would think that to be weird,
When you figure it all out mathmaticly it's not so weird anymore.
It just sounds weird when you think of a "teenager' and "adult" together.
But when you just think of a coupe the same amout of years apart at a older age not everything seems so weird anymore. |

 | August 9th, 2010 at 10:09am for it within reason.
i'm 17 and my boyfriend is 19 and we're obviously having a sexual relationship.
i don't think it's a problem but he worries sometimes about getting in trouble with the law.
idk if it's just in ohio but i heard there's a two (or it might be three? idk) year rule with adults. as long as it's two years in between them it's fine. |

 | August 10th, 2010 at 02:34am I guess it's not weird, but I think anyone that's 15 or younger is pushing it... I was in a "serious relationship" at that age, and there's no way I could have spent my life with that guy. I just don't think it's worth tying yourself down to someone so young. I've changed so much since then, and I think the "freedom" of being single helps. |

My parents have no problem with me dating this guy. Honestly, I believe you can date an eighteen year old, just no sexy stuff. xD |

 | August 18th, 2010 at 12:47pm I think if you're over 15 ((in the range of 15-17)) dating someone thats 18 or 19 isnt THAT big of deal. Unless your 'rentals are like super strict. SO I don't really think it's a problem. |

 | August 19th, 2010 at 01:51pm I think it's okay for a minor to be with someone who's 18 or over as long as they don't have sex and as long as the minor's parents okay it because you want to have your parents' permission about a guy you love. I'm 21 and I still ask my parents if I can date a certain guy because I don't want them to be mad. They like my boyfriend. |

 | September 23rd, 2010 at 04:07pm One of my friends is 15 and having a relationship with an 18 year old. They seem happy and their parents approve, apart from the girls dad whos completely mad and ignores the guy just 'cause he's older. I mean, they would get in a lot of trouble if they got caught doing the things they do but they love eachother and nobody's dissaproval is going to change their feelings, no matter what someone says they can't stop you from loving someone, but if it's your parents they might be able to stop you from seeing them. |

 | September 23rd, 2010 at 08:58pm I would date i guy even 10 years younger but then he still wouldn't be a minor. In the netherlands the law says that there is the matter of age difference. 15 year old with an 18 year old is not a problem as long as there in an equal relationship, i think that in a way is the key word, equal!! If the older one doesn't use being older to push the younger one in to behavior there not ready for its okay. If the age difference is to big (a 13 year old with a 30 year old, or someting) i would doubt the motives of the older person. |
