Maybe You're The Reason

I haven't written in awhile
my hand's been cramped
curled up and useless
or maybe just busy
busy with someone else's

I haven't smiled in awhile
I've been looking too far down
distracted and dismayed
or maybe I'm laughing
and smiling doesn't last

I haven't cried in awhile
there doesn't seem to be any water
my eyes used up and desolate
or maybe I don't have a reason
maybe I'm happy

I haven't been cold in awhile
things are too hot
too still and uncomfortable
or maybe my hand is covered
no more chill to my fingers
and maybe I'm laughing so hard
that we're staying warm
but maybe
maybe
I'm happy with you
and it gives me goosebumps.
