I'm getting the most out of the lab experience that I can so at the weekends I might as well take advantage of the fact that there is people from all over the world here. You can learn just as much valuable lessons from people as university.
I mean, how often do you get to go watch the world cup in the Czech Republic with an American and a Spaniard and meet a German? |

| July 8th, 2010 at 02:07pm No, I understand the need to have a social life. You're in a very unique situation and I think it's great that you're getting the opportunity to meet a ton of new people. I'm all for it. It's just, you talk so much about the socializing parts, but before you were so interested in the science part of it. So, I guess I'm just a tad bit jealous, yet a little confused. |

| July 8th, 2010 at 02:11pm Oh no, I'm still loving all the sciency stuff. Its just I had a fair idea what it would be like in the lab but the country itself and the people I had no clue about. Plus its a little more interesting to talk about haha
But if you are interested I can no run a gel electrophoresis from start to end by myself! At my home university the lab tech did most of it for us |

| July 8th, 2010 at 02:14pm That's true. It is more relate-able to talk about the social aspect of your trip instead of the science part. But I do know what a gel electrophoresis is! That's awesome! I remember someone doing one for my bio summer camp. It was really neat.  |

The song actually makes me feel quite emotional cause I LOVE New York and I just picture it exactly when I listen to the song,well, it is like a guided tour haha!

So, I spent a good 9 hours in Boston on Long Wharf chilling at the Aquarium and IMAX theater down there. Very relaxing environment if I do say so myself.

At home its not too bad cause I'm only a half hour outside Glasgow but I think I'll much prefer my city centre flat!!! |
