Politics in this country is a fucking joke. We definitely need and electoral reform, for sure. It's like the people have spoken but we have no idea what they've said.

Everyone is hanging and wondering what Nick Clegg is going to do, and I think if he is going to form a coalition with any party is should be Labour. He can't justify going with the Tories just because they have the most seats. The Lib Dems are much more similar in their political agenda with Labour.

I think if the Lib Dems decided to go with Labour then the rest of the parties would follow, the SNP would for sure, infact they all would, with the obvious exception of Sinn Fein.

If that were to be the outcome, I think Gordon should step down as leader of the Labour Party and maybe David Milliband take his place.

I think if Gordan Brown stepped down then Nick Clegg would be more likely to side with labour because he clearly can't stand Brown. It would make more sense since there's more overlap between their policies but the only problem is there would still be a minority government

I totally agree, I kinda feel cheated cause its so obvious that my vote ment nothing. As much a I don't like the torries and the smug little twat that is David Cameron if we had the proportional representation that was proposed then the Torries would have won the election so it is only right that they get the first bite as its clearly overall what most people wanted

What annoys me is that out of Scotland's 59 seat the conservatives won 1, so clearly we hate them yet it makes no impact in Westminister. I'm voting SNP from now on as I no longer see any point in being part of the UK when we get so little a say in how and who runs it!!!! And the SNP would go along with Lib Dems/Labour coalition as Scotland really want the reform so we get more of a say

if nick clegg sided with brown then it would go against everything the lib dems stand for. they stand for fairness, and seeing as the tories got the most seats, then they should be running the country according to what clegg has said in the past.

i don't want him to go back on his word, but i also don't want the tories to gain power.

I'm the same, I'm torn. Whatever way it works out mostly I hope we get that electorial reform. Don't see why the torries should still be dead set against it seeing as how if we already had it then David Cameron would be Prime Minister already

Hannah, I get what your saying about Clegg and fairness, yes it's only fair he talks to the conservatives first as the won the most seats, but we have to look at what is fair for the country. I really don't think that a Lib Dem/conservative coalition would be beneficial for anyone. Cleggs policies are too different from Cameron's, therefore I don't believe we would have a stable Government. I also think that should he decided to go with Cameron then it doesn't say very much about his character if he is going to trade in his political and moral views to form a coalition with a party that clearly only has one thing in common with him - hating Gordon Brown.

I think the only way Nick Clegg would side with Labour is if Gordon Brown steps down. In which case I think we'd have to have another election.

oh no i don't expect him to join with cameron at all, it would never work, but he has said that the conservatives should be leading.

i think he'll either negotiate with brown or they won't join with anyone and it'll go to another election sooner rather than later.

Amazing. I loved the bit about never talking to The Sun. Ironically, he was probably better informed than most adults.

Hasn't Clegg already said he wouldn't side with Cameron in the event of a hung parliment? I'm sure he did, before the election. But then I guess who knows what he'll decide to do. I hope he doesn't because like laura said his policies are closer to labour than conservatives and it'd seem like such a cop out.

Clegg always said he would talk to the party that had the majority, which is just bullshit.

not really as the party with the most seats are who the people really want as leader and who would win under his proposed electorial reforms. Doesn't mean he's obligated though but our system is unfair enough without the public getting even less of a say

I just don't think Clegg should jon with the conservatives just because they have the most seats. Especially since the Lib Dems have been deliberately targeting seats that the Tories were after

I don't think a Lib Dem/Conservative government would work but as much as I don't want it at all I do think that the Conservatives should get the first chance to form a government since that is who the people elected really

One thing is clear to me, Gordon Brown has to go
