In the shadow of my enemy,

I think two worlds collide.

But becoming the war of friends and foes,

We will fight side by side.

But I can be my enemy,

'Cuz my mind is a waging war.

And if I am my only friend,

What are I standing for?

And falling off a sudden cliff,

Who pushed me but myself?

For the book I wish to blame

Is tucked away in a shelf.

An innocent land, the guilty kind.

A "kill-or-be-killed" world.

When the rebellion comes along,

My serenade will unfurl.

It reads, "A long, long time ago,

When I thought my friendships over,

I learned to keep my closest friends

(but keep my enemies closer)."
