I want a drum set for Christmas, but I dont think my mom is going for it....
I was wondering how much a drum set usually costs. Is there anything else I need to know if I do buy one?? Question

( I know that I sound really stupid... but I really want to know.)

Anywhere from a few hundred bucks to a few thousand. You also have to keep in mind that most drum kits only come with drums, and sometimes cymbal stands, but you'll need to buy the cymbals, the sticks, the thrown, the pedals, new heads, ect.

The cheapest I've ever seen a decent brand new kit for is £399 (mapex- without symbols) Anything cheaper than that is probably not a great kit (it doesnt really matter if your learning, you can always upgrade) or second hand.

So upwards of around £400 - Most Pearl kits start at about £500 at least...

If you look around though, you could probably get a decent kit second hand for less.

Oh yeah, one more thing you need to know - Don't stop asking Wink

If ur a beginner go for the cheapest kit possible!

Theres no point buying a really expensive kit if ur just gonna destroy it while you're learning how to play it. you'll just be wasting money, so start small (cheap) then by the time you've gotten good you'll be able to buy a better kit and it wont get worn out as easy.

....if any of that makes sense.
