Er, probably a duplicate but...can anyone recommend me a good but affordable bass guitar for a christmas present? My parents will probably be looking at £250 at a push.

hmm... 250...
an encore maybe? or if your lucky even a squier jazz. i picked one up for £225 and i love it! it's amazing.

i got my fender bass kit for $250. but i'm not sure how that comes out in pounds.

Try and look around at the music shops for second hand a bass. Thats what my mum and dad did for mine and it is in such good nick that people think that it is brand new.

i get a lot of my music stuff from there. And theres a lot of ebay music stores so you dont have to bother with the bidding either, and the stuff is new.

sice u live in england i don't kno if the store DADDY'S JUNKIE MUSIC is in that country........but thats where i got my new bass....thery're pretty afordable at there

Ibanez make some pretty decent bass guitars for cheap. You can get the BTB200 for like £230 or the GSR200 for round £200.

Mine was only £90, but I think it's a rubbish make or something. It's a stagg, but it plays so I dont mind, it's only my first bass. That was at PJ's guitar world.

hm... i got my Fender Bass kit (head phones , amp , bass , vhs video on how to play ) for 400$ canadaian whih is like a little less than 200 Pounds
