Mock Drums

What did you use before you got your drums or guitar? Like did you use pencils on a desk, did you use chopsticks around you kitchen as if it was a giant set of drums? Now I use my chair, my desk, and my lampshade as things to hit, and my sticks are usually pencils or chopsticks
