Trouble Bound Castaway Falling In Love With The Board
Age: - Gender: - Posts: 6766 | December 3rd, 2005 at 12:06pm I read that most of Green Day's songs were tuned down half a step, and I'm sort of still using an automatic tuner because I've only been playing for two years. So I have a question, how do you tune down half a step? |

cuz when you turn the nob lower it'll start going flat E and then the 'E' will change to 'Eb' and just get the line in the middle when it's on the Eb note. and same as the others, make sure they're all on the flat note. |

my guitar's tuned down to Eb, too, as i prefer .11 string gauge which is actually a bit too taut for EADGBE |

Age: 35 Gender: Male Posts: 1691 | December 14th, 2005 at 05:30pm just do it how you would do Standard E manually, but tune the bottom E down half a step. Depends if you have a chromatic tuner with flats and sharps. |

I can't tune it down a half step x_x Just down to drop D.
Which makes it possible to play Eb5 with all the other strings in standard tuning.

smart =P i often tune to drop D (just the low E string for those who don't know) so i can play a7x songs =P but it's like cheating on power chords cuz i just have to barre instead =) |

But I dislike the sound of drop D so I tune it down to drop C when I make my own music. But for A7x songs. Yeah =) |
