  | March 19th, 2006 at 07:20am the OFLC (office of film and literature classification) drive me round the bend! I HATE them!!! in Australia we dont have an R rating for games so if the OFLC deem it as unnapropriate (over MA 15+) the game gets sent back where it came from. Its ridiculous. What about all the 18+ year olds who wan to play games with horror/violent or whatever explict scenes?!? Sure im only 15 but i enjoy violent games and the way they are turning away many games is really getting on my nerves. I am angry at whoever made the 'hot coffee' mod becuase now the OFLC uses that against Australians thiinking that they cant trust the gaming community when really it is composed of highly intelligent adults and kids who like to play games so i dont see what the problem is. In fact on the Xbox 360 if your a parent you can set one of the features so as if your child plays a game with a rating that you dont want them to see it wont work - kin of like child locking channels. Every other westernised developed country has an R rating for games why doesnt Australia? |
