Who Ever Knew?

Who ever knew,
That lying could be so destructive?
That trying to keep it it,
Would only let it all out faster?

Who ever knew,
That loving someone could be this hard?
That trying to forget,
Would only bring back the memories?

Who ever knew,
That living could be so hard?
That trying to escape,
Would only get me enclosed?

Who ever knew,
How hard it is to breathe,
When I'm living a lie,
That I'm not supposed to.

Who ever knew?

I want to be a better writer....

That was actually pretty good.
If you want to become a better writer I suggest playing around with free verse, or rhyming if you like. Try intricit details...or just start describing. What always makes a poem or song better to me is when I can picture it clearly.
