Cold, lifeless drops,
Cascading from the sky.
A clear, invisible veil,
That hides the tears I cry.

Rain hides my emotions,
And my darkened soul takes flight.
Its’ crumpled wings glide through the air,
As it fades into the night.

Rain can calm my anger,
And rain can soothe my fears.
The one thing that rain can’t stop, though,
Are my never-ending tears.
