the ground below

stuck in the clouds
they gently whisper in my ear
as my hands wildly search
for something to grasp onto
Now is when I need it-
the past to keep me up...
But then I somehow become
grounded in a moment
flying, soaring
light and free
with all the possibilites
I stare straight ahead
leaving everything behind
I won't see it coming
I'm falling so fast
and it's inches away from me now...
Is it inevitable that Time
will only push me down faster
when five seconds of gold
are my own? |
