“Skippy! Skippy!
Come and help me for God’s sake!”
Well, Skippy can’t hear you,
He’s a little bit dead!
The man stops shouting…
What happened to the man?
Is he finally dead?
Everybody stares at his corner
What happened to him?
They look everywhere
They seem to dance in every movement
But the kid stays still
He points at me for a moment.
“She did it! She did it!”
He yells at his mother.
But how would I do it?
I’ve been sitting here all night long
The woman takes his baby
“I think you could be wrong”
Then people start dancing again
Enjoying their evening
But they don’t notice that
They’ve just set the monster free.
White eyes, white brains,
White lungs, white legs,
White face, white skin
But he won’t stay that way
The monster’s changing…
The man wakes up.
He’s looking down at his feet
But when he looks up
He can’t believe what he sees…
“She’s turning black! She’s turning black!”
He shouts to the walls
“She’s turning black! She’s turning black!”
But the crowd can’t hear him no more.
