My head bleeds a pale yellow
blood, trickling from the barbed wire
crown jammed on by a so-called ally.
Eyes are blinded and ears made deaf
to those traitors to me, boasting loudly
on how grand my demise
Will be. I'm a cat with nine lives
And I'm on the final chance,
Forcing down a posion pill.
Now I am chained to a stake,
branches at my feet, woodlice,
These creatures will disavow
All knowledge of me. The
crowds are growing greater
the cries louder, death shall entral
the cold hearted peasants
My deathchamber, the place to be.
Bitter smoke clogs my lungs.
My skin glows like a furnace
and the fire splutters and glitter,
Shining pieces of the first fall of
snow halts the proceedings, the crowds
disperse and starts their whining.
Unknown to them I shall
rise from these ashes, I will rise
and then they'll feel alone,
and not I. |
