Good Girl

I always wanted to be a good girl.
Someone smart and nice.
Not some crazy chick.
Whose full of sugar and spice.

Those who make it sound good.
Will maybe tell you what for.
That the truth about the spice.
Is that you can't get it from a store.

Everyone knows about alcohol and drugs.
But it's not big until you're offered it.
I've always steered away from that.
But why am I now accepting this bullshit?

I've tasted things I've never thought I would.
Even had one smoke or more.
I didn't see what was so great about it.
But still I opened the wrong door.

So maybe I haven't done drugs.
But I could've and might.
Inside I felt excited.
Even though I knew it wouldn't be right.

I've gone through bad times.
And then I grabbed a blade.
I always told my self "This won't help."
But words will always fade.

Now this good girl I dreamt about.
Has shortly disappeared.
As I got older.
I did the things I feared.

I broke promises with my family.
And sadly myself.
I'm no longer a good girl.
She's just another book on the shelf.

I really liked the first part because I could really relate to it.....'cept I dont want to be a good girl.

Yeah, but I meant like.. when I was younger. Like a child. A little girl.

It's ok.. rather cliche and the rhyme scheme seemed a bit forced in places.
