Echo & The Bunnymen are a Britpop band formed in Liverpool in 1978. They are reforming with 3 of the 4 original band members.

My favourite songs of theirs at the moment are The Killing Moon, The Cutter, Bedbugs & Ballyhoo, Silver and Never Stop.

8. When you start a thread about a band, post at least 1 link to their MySpace or website (official or not), a little pic and/or a description about the band. No more post like "Ever heard of [insert a band here]? I love them and their song [insert a song here] !" or it will be locked.

Well I JUST read the rules after I posted it and that is exactly what I was doing.

But thank you anyway.

Have loved the Bunnymen for the longest time.

One of the first twelve inch vinyl tracks I bought was 'The Back of Love'. Also got 4 track single EP called Shine So Hard which features the tracks Crocodiles, Zimbo, All That Jazz and Over the Wall as well as numerous other albums and CDs.

Personally I think they sound a bit like the Cure or Jesus and Mary Chain but mostly I think they just sound like themselves. If you want to know more about how they sound you can check them out on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4FIWe7Y3OU&search=echo%20and%20the%20bunnymen - this song is Killing Moon.

Ooh and they also did a really cool cover of The Doors song 'People are Strange' - it features on the soundtrack for the film 'The Lost Boys.'

Ian McCulloch (lead vocal) was my own personal fav for the longest time. Cool Clap

I love the song People Are Strange.
I first heard the Killing Moon on the film Donnie Darko, then I downloaded it and found Ballyhoo in my mum's CD cupboard and I've really got in to them from there.

Hey Killing Moon

If you like the Bunnymen you would possibly like Jesus and Mary Chain - don't know if you've heard of them. Anyhow you can check them out on You Tube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdIDX2urYqs&search=Jesus%20and%20Mary%20Chain

The first link is for the song Just Like Honey which was used in the film Lost In Translation. The second one is called Happy When It Rains.

Their unofficial website is

If you see this - hope you like em. Very Happy
