Color My World

K, so this may not be as good as my usuals. I'm playing around with different forms of poetry yet again. I think this is more of a song-type-thing, though. Anyway, I hope you like it.


I am now-a-day's common ciché,
Pretty girl with sad eyes, living a life of gray.
Always complaining, wanting more,
Always wondering what sadness is for.

I want to be different but I can't break the mold.
And there isn't a sob story I haven't told.
Just hold me baby, stare into my eyes,
Hopefully your baby blues will color my skies.

Reading your letters over again,
Dreaming of the day I won't have to pretend.
Even if that day doesn't come,
I will always know you are the one.
