An ivory cheek pressed against the pillowcase; a montage of innocence.
All she has for bedtime company is her chastity and a glass of vodka.
Her blushes have faded with the moonlight. She plays insomniac tonight
with her moon-inspired eyes dripping sullen sleep with their intensity.
There's a plan etched deep with star-dew in her mind and a proposition
glossing her lips that no one will hear as she murmurs it to the moon.
Ballet shoes on puddled pavements and she's damp to the sole, planting
tender, footstep kisses on the sin-sleaked sidewalks of suburbia.
Watch your step. Wiser fools have fallen on these treacherous paths.
She adores the choir of rebellion harmonising in her thoughts as she
carves a passively adventurous path to the tepid core of nowhere.
Dreams were always so much more alluring painted on open eyelids.
That's why she would never kiss a valentine with sealed vision.
There was always that alternative side to you I always loved, sweetheart.
Don't show her the light too often. She may relate to the angel in the glow.
She's restless and youthful under inquisitive bouts of moonlight.
Searching for an answer or a home, darling? We offer both in unequal doses
of payment and repercussion. Unfair? Well, honey, that's how life's scribed.
This is the environment where angels lose their halos and devils lose their minds.
They can read you like a scripture disintegrated in translation.
She looks so eager to yearn and burn for retribution that it's endearing.
And the caresses on moonshine on her face is almost captivating...inviting.
Naíve? Yes. Her school-girl opinions are sewn with dedication on her sleeve
but her hobo heart utters rhythms that are in twisted tune with a job like ours... |
