Hey everyone! I just got back from a week long trip to West Virginia to build houses for people, and I think the boonies helped me write a lot. Here is the first of many songs that I wrote while in the Blue Mountains. More to come soon!

Sweet sixteen and a slave to her world
Muted by others and struck to the ground
She's meant to live with blind obediance
But there's an underground relief that she's found

Moves along with the tide until she screams
Her thoughts and actions are like day and night
And though she now rests her weary head
She will never surrender the fight

Away from them, out on her own
No extra weight it slowing her down
Goes to the place that she's always known
And she can breathe freely at last

(chorus)
And there she finds whoever can relate
Where the "no goods" become the chosen
And while she finds herself with them
The rest of the world becomes frozen

She walks down where the wild things are
With the lights from hell showing her the way
What if her parents could see her now?
She shakes her head and walks away
Her reservations behind her now
She loses her mind in the crowd
Where she can make some noise of her own
With the shunned and the sick and the proud

She screams her problems to the band
And she can let herself go at last
Being sixteen in the promised land
Has never been so fucking worth it

(chorus)

Thanks a lot! It's about my friend who really isn't happy but always goes to this local punk club. Glad you like it!

Reminds me of myself so much. *laughs*

Uhm, anyway,
I liked that one, it was pretty cool and greatly expressed.
