The Education Of Young Love.

Ok, this is my poem. It took me ages to actually build up the courage to post this lol. It's my first ever poem I've written since about year 8! I know it needs a lot of work, that's why I've posted it, so I can get constructive criticism. Also, I'm not really sure about the title, so the one I've put is just temporary.
I basically wrote how I feel at the moment because my boyfriend broke up with me a few weeks ago. So this poem is about me reading all the cards and letters he wrote me and the last verse I produced after talking things through with my mum. Sorry if you think the subject is cliché, but I just wanted to write about how I feel.


Alone in her room again.
this time, the tears drip to the paper
where the black ink smudges away the ocean of thoughts
produced by his once romantic heart.

Letters of sincerity, surround her,
containing poems of a heart felt warmth
to which the girl cries with a darkened sense of grief
at the hypocritical words of a lost love.

Forever and ever, he said to her
in those letters that she once recieved.
a naive and disheartened wave of pain strikes her heart
as she wonders how it can really be the end.

Two young hearts, once entwined,
separated for what will seem a lifetime
until the bitter memories become an education process
for an innocent and broken heart.

That's really sad
and sweet.
