It Was All A Fake

Your life wasnt always perfect
you had problems deep down inside
they never showed through though
they always seemed to hide

Your happiness was noticable
your smile was always there
but when you went home at night
your life was full of despair

To me you were always happy
to yourself you had to fake
every day you had the time of yor life
but when you got home your heart would ache

Family was never as important to you
cause your friends were the only ones that cared
but they couldnt always be with you
even though your family would always be there,
waiting, waiting for you to screw up or make a mistake
just so they could throw it right back in your face

This never occurred to me though
until you went away
I never knew, how could i?
that your life was always this way

Now i know why you did it
but i still have to ask why?
you chose to leave your friends
the ones who mattered, and cared behind.

We will always remember you for your smile and your personality
and how you could always cheer us up
but now all we have are photographs and the memories we hold
even though i know if i ever want to see you again
all i have to do is look up.
