Do people think kindness is a technicality too insignificant for anyone to deal with?

Or is it too big for anyone to deal with?

its not hard to be nice to someone. that pic sickens me. 'no one knows what happened to the child' well theyd fucking know if he'd helped! how hard is it to carry a starving child to a food camp so they can be fed and their lives saved. its hardly like the poor kid is going to be heavy!

Ok. I never made a topic about this because I wasn't sure if there was one already, and I was never as upset as I am now about it. I checked through all the pages, and didn't see one, so apologies if there is one.

I've always noticed this, that when something happens to someone, most people will just stand and watch. I'm not saying that everyone does this, because if I saw someone crawling across the ground because their leg was broken I would certainly help them.

Sorry, the following is a result of me being really pissed off.

My little brother, today, was running for the train after school, he was running down the stairs at the station. The kids in the year above him were running too, and he got pushed down the stairs.

He was lying there, on the ground, and one kid even stepped on his leg.

My brother then had to crawl, because he couldn't walk, to get onto the train. He had to crawl across a platform to get onto a train.

Everyone else around him, they just stood and stared. The kids that go to my school, and the one nearby, they stared, and laughed. Even the adults, getting on and off the train, just stared, or walked past him as if nothing was happening.

Trust me, they would have see him. They all have to walk up the stairs to get off the station. A little kid crawling along the ground is hard to miss.

What kind of people would just stare, and laugh and not help a little kid who is crawling, he was pulling himself along the fucking ground, onto a train crying (He was crying! He never crys!) and calling out "Help me, I've broken my leg"

Arugh I'm so pissed off. He was crying when he came home, and he feels so humiliated.

He couldn't even go to a payphone at the station that we get on after school because there is no payphones on that side of the station, he would have to go up the stairs, and cross a bridge, and come back down stairs to get to a payphone.

And the problem is, most people I've come across are like that. The kids that all live in my area, they are all dysfunctional, they don't care about anyone else.

The adults are the same!

I think that people are too busy with their lives and have stopped caring for other people. Its just easier for them to not get involved, and help someone else.

I'm not saying everyone is like this, I'm aware that many of you would help people in an instant.

The only reason to stare at someone is if they're at the zoo. In your brother's case, he was at a train station with an injury, not the zoo. Someone should have helped him. That's pathetic for people to just walk by, laugh, and stare. Pathetic. And what really gets me is when movies portray people seriously getting hurt, and then the people just stand around and take pictures. CALL FRICKIN 911! DO SOMETHING!

Image

tell me that`s not sad. i would`ve carried him to the food camp. seriously, no compassion. what has this world come to?

Oh my goodness! Stupid photographer. He could have helped that kid. That kid could have still been alive when he took that picture. He could have still been alive now! But no. Stupidity had to drag that photographer down. That kid looked like it would have weighed 5 pounds, it could not have been hard to take it to a food camp.
