Casting shadows across my heart,
"We all want to die like movie stars!",
You screamed and you cut,
Not yourself but my love,
Love I had for you,
For always.
You looked beautiful,
Even as you stood swaying,
On the edge of my balcony,
"This isn't the way.",
I whispered as I held you,
Covering your face with my arms.
"Take my hand I beg you.",
But it wasn't what you desired,
As you pushed me away,
I watched through my tears,
You disappeared down,
Down you fell from grace.
Stood awhile shaking,
Backdrafts of memories flooding,
Then staring down at you,
Precious blood spilt,
Now staining the streets below,
Still you look beautiful. |
