This one definately will.
I'm going to crawl into a hole now and practise the art of patience.
There's liquor in your eyes and fabrications on your lips
but I'm too unstable to tell the difference anymore.
Press your skin against mine and I'll drown in your lies.
Naivety is so endearing in school girl uniforms.
I'll make it work in lace and leather artwork tears,
believing every word you say if you promise to keep lying.
The dancefloor is getting smaller between us and there's
a pounding in my mind that has nothing to do with the music.
Voices are saying, "Take me now or leave me here forever."
And I'm begging you to stop playing the sadist for
seduction because it appeals to the masochist in me.
Arrows through heartbeats. Why do you think I believe in love?
Is there a space between the bedsheets for me or just
a blank void inside your mind you're looking to fill?
Egotists like me will fill any gap you give us.
Lead me to oblivion or just to another alleyway.
Girls play so are easy when we're watered down with
alcohol and our senses are obscured and discarded.
Forever in fifty seconds and ecstasies found in mudpiles.
This is me believing every truth you're ignoring because
the person before me was seen through the bottom of a glass. |
