| Inari King For A Couple Of Days  Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2538 |  A one-worded title. What is happening to me? There's nothing here for us but open roads and empty dreams, sleepless nights, vacant sleep beneath covers torn with trying. City skylines only conceal the sunrise trying to burn it down. What are efforts in towns cramped with mistakes and falsities? Just breaths against the window turning to steam in the sun. I'm told I was meant for better than this excuse could allow. Maybe for once I'll believe what they say and tempt destiny. This is another tale of a teenage joyride in technicolour. Fill this space beside me and we'll rip reality at the seams. There's enough space for you and all of our possibilities in this beat-up car that we're chasing fading horizons in. They never seem to get closer but it's next stop ignorance when there's another run-down engine droning in this chest. And if the road keeps on yawning, then we'll keep on driving with one foot to the ignition, one palm pressed to the past. We'll suppress the skeletons in our suitcases until we reach some steadier ground than what we've been standing on so far. Your feet in my lap, we drive away the time we've been wasting. This is a dreamer's day out behind the wheel and a conscience. |
