A simple sweet melody flowing through my ears.
It’s been on year, seems like 20.
That fateful night is forever remembered,
Not to be forgotten, although I do try.
Wind is blowing, leaves are falling,
The same as every year.
But this time there’s a little bit missing,
A piece of my heart that will never be replaced.
The memory of her fills my heart with sorrow,
Leaving me in pain.
August is a month of remembrance for many,
Everyone just wants to remember her in every way.
Her smile, her laugh.
Her style, her voice, her mind.
And every piece becomes a figure,
That will live on in us all.
In the year that she’s been gone,
Everyone’s missed her so.
Take it step by step, to getting better,
And always keep her locked in your heart.
