My fixation with Beavis & Butt-head over the last few months has gotten me into artists or songs I have either:

A.Never heard of before
or B.Never got into in the past

One of the bands I've gotten interested in recently through B&B are the all-female rock band 7 Year Bitch. The video B&B watched of theirs (Hip Like Junk) was from an album called "Viva Zimbra" or something like that, and the chyron on B&B listed the album as being released by Atlantic, and that info is incorrect. They did do an album for Atlantic though, 1996's "Gato Negro", and I decided to get that one, because I'm a big Atlantic fanboy in case you haven't noticed. Not bad, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best albums of all time (I don't know, I guess this all-female rock band stuff is a little hard for me in particular to digest). There are various times where Selene Vigil's (the singer in the band) voice is really seductive, and I don't even think any of the songs on "Gato Negro" are intended to be seductive or anything. Strange. I read an interesting story about her where she accidentaly cut some of her thumb off, and it grew back and shocked the doctor she went to see about it.

I think it was called Mad Love or something. it had Drew Barrymore in it.

I don't reccomend it though, it completely sucked.

they have their stuff on iTunes if you have that

but also if you go to http://www.eMusic.com and sign up for a free trial, you can download some of their (and a bunch of other artists') songs for no charge. it's not a scam, you just have to cancel your account before the 2 weeks or however long it is is over (unless you like it, but then you'll have to pay).

they only have indie stuff on it, but there's some artists on there you wouldn't expect. oh and they have GD's first 2 albums.
