I’m not hiding this from anyone anymore.
You’d stare so intently into that mirror,
Just about anyone would run away in fear.
You know what they’re thinking about you,
It’s slowly taking over your life; piece by piece.
Just tell yourself it’ll be alright, even if you have to scream,
No one’s going to notice when you start splitting at the seams.
Those ones, they always ask for your advice, your wise words,
What they don’t know is you wished you could help yourself as much as they say you help them.
You’re so fragile, and they’re pulling you out of the ground by your stem,
It hurts you; your heart & soul; when they think you’re so perfect; why don’t you tell them?
I’ve tried, time & time again; sweetheart,
Believe in you me; I’ve tried from the start.
Every time I come close, though, my words break apart.
