 | September 15th, 2006 at 09:37pm Yes...it is a political song. It was calling my name. So before you write it off, please read it. It was inspired by recent events, and I got a lot of ideas from Bush's address on 9-11.
I heard heaven's swelling up today
'Cause you have to die to be a hero
I heard we're all guilty in a way
'Cause we weren't all at Ground Zero
They say the world is changing now
So why can't we change with it?
I guess nobody remembers how
But no no will admit it

I think I'll start a war today
And I'll attack anyone and make them pay
I'll knock down whoever stands in my way
I'm proud to be part of the USA
It seems like we don't really care
About well-being of anyone else
And even though it's not that fair
We're the ones taking the hits
We speak of destroying evil
While we really just absorb it
And the only weapon that's lethal
Is our distorted sense of establishment
So how can we sleep at the end of the day
With people dying in our name?
That's what comes from all work and no play
And misfits like us only feel the shame
