Posts: 4161 | September 15th, 2006 at 02:31pm Hey. Sorry I haven't posted for so long. I might not be posting as often, I'm under immense stress at the moment and not working on my poetry as much. Apologies, but whenever I write something I'll post it. This is entirely personal - more recently poetry has been my release rather than my art.
She's intoxicated by the afflictions of her own
affectionate heart. Under love's curse and blinded by
the taste of his soft, marshmallow lips. Angels become
prophets when fused with poetic words and artistic
tendencies; anxiety soothed only by quiet atmospheres.
Faerie tales aren't always crafted around heroes and
heroines, but love stories that take like velvet
and bleed crimson truth. This is a saga told in
nothing but the most passionate words and volatile
emotion; the trials and testing of teenage romance have
almost proved too excruciating for her feverish,
anxiety ridden soul. Her subconscious plays tricks,
and analyses her every motion before meticulous action.
The blood that flows within her veins aches to be at
his side, but becomes poisoned with each hideous thought.
She thinks she's in love but she's not quite sure.
The only comfort she has is the quiet texture of his
beating heart, but she's far too fretful not to hurt it... |

| September 18th, 2006 at 10:56am I wish I was as talented as you. ^_^ I really like the structure of the poem. It makes it creative despite the common words you use. Grand words aren’t always necessary but “exotic” words are, in my opinion, usually needed to give the poem a unique touch. You however managed to make it unique with the help of the structure and the also the imageries. This is much more creative than only using words, and a way to put them, that’s not so common.  |

I love the structure  it reminds me of Sylvia Plath - Edge a bit. Incase you're wondering...yeah, That's pretty much all the poetry I can read these days lol.
