That were never spoken
Her screams muffle
The question, "Why?"

I stand by the window
In an empty room
And wonder how quiet
It will be when I die

I bet that the rain
Can extinguish a fire
So silent and cold
Silver on gold

Does anyone see
How perfect it can be
I wish she had seen
But now she's too old
