It goes on further than what you can see,
Reaches beyond what you ever believed,
Always in mind but never in sight,
Gives you the hope and gives you a fright.

Nothing returns once it's faded away,
Giving tommorow but stealing today,
Taking the old and providing the new,
You won't last long when it's coming for you.

Trying so hard to stay where you are,
Don't want to move or go on too far,
Pushing the limits of what you can stand,
Try and make it the best that you can.

Taking forever to take it's first stride,
Feels unbearable to stand by it's side,
Walking behind it you wonder and dream,
