That night I asked you before we took off, if it was all okay.
You responded that I shouldn't worry; you were looking after me.
Who knew that the following event would prove to be my decay?
Our relationship would fall apart and that's how we'd let it be.
A few months down the track, you claimed I was adding weight.
Smiling and hoping that what grew inside me was yours.
You hadn't asked me first, so my love turned into hate.
The mistake you made was set to reveal all your flaws.
The blank stare on your face when I said there was no child...
Must've started thinking you were infertilr after all.
Unfortunately for me, the pain I put you through was mild.
Unlike your "better half", you rose after your fall.
I couldn't have a baby, though I knew you'd get upset.
So I went ahead with the abortion, without asking your consent.
How hard was it to ask? I might've changed my mind.
Your greed and that alone caused us both this grief.
All you had to do was question me and you would find,
With my permission of that pregnancy we'd both find some relief. |
