It's basically about this :-
Helen Caulfield is a young woman of 22 who gets caught up in a world where her wit and poetical nerve will get her a bullet in the brain. She discovers a seedy undergrowth where kisses, heroin and violence is as important - if not more- than your own life. She drops out of university and ends up fighting for survival as a drug runner for a all too much persuasive Billie Joe. She ends up befriending the manic depressive Tre Cool and his friend; Mike who isn't all he seems. His girlfriend Sara catches Helen's eye. It will all end in tears. Believe it. Also, written in a combination of the styles of J.D. Salinger and Sylvia Plath.
