Armatage Shanks are a Norwegian band influenced by Green Day, Millencolin, Nofx etc
Armatage Shanks formed back in 1998 as a Green Day cover band. They played a few shows in their home town of Hamar, Norway before deciding to move towards original music. With new material under their belts, they began to record demos and started playing more shows in Hamar, and throughout Norway.
Their fan base grew over the next year, but in 1999 the band just dissapeared...
Fast fowrward 3 years, and the band decided it was time for their return. Their loyal fans didn't miss a beat in returning to support the Armatage Shanks cause. In 2004 the band made the move outside Norway with their first show in Sweden, and they haven't looked back since.
Currently, the band are in the studio writing and recording some more new songs, always moving towards their goal of being the biggest pop-punk band in Norway. |
