Your Spirit's Kiss

Cry me a river of blood that stain your parched sheets of fake innocence
My regrets are printed in the sky to remind me of my wrongs
Your knife is held at a position, ready to slit my throat
The blood spluttered will wet your lips as you taste my heart

The sins I've committed carved on your wrists like your heart song
They're permanent and never erased for the sake of my misery
Your cold white fingers taking a tour of my hollow thoughts
The pieces of my darkest hopes glued to form a conspiracy

Against me

You sing like the sun will never shine again after tomorrow
Bathe me in your broken song and give me your sunshine kisses
To light up my head and lift me into the moon-washed sky
But all it does is burn me like a waxstick on a flame

You're doing too much harm to me to love me like you say you do
I knew loving you and giving it all to you was a mistake I'd take back
You're lying to my porcelain eyes when you breathe in the toxic we live on
The glass shards under my skin you implanted when you touched me with your hands

Of stale blood

Drunken heartbreak melodies playing on repeat in my rotten head
Freshly-broken hearts form a choir singing love songs in unison
Trying to make illusions of my wildest fears I'll face in time
But it worsens the pain till death comes knocking on my unlocked door

Bone white skin stretched out across your face as you say your goodbyes
Your lips are cracking with lipstick stains with every lie you tell; are they mine?
Kneeling over your grave watching as you gather your last words on your tombstone
Reading your will as you give me your sugar-coated stars that never left you

But is your heart mine?
