never grasp the insecurities that time
chooses to offer- or withdrawal, as some
would like to think. Thinking is only a
choice. We’ve all observed those that
deny the chance, and those that take
it for granted. The prospect never reaps
benefits from the enabled, but the benefits
become devastating for those without
humanity in his eyes. I could always
be justified in my actions, but you made
me realize that I was just as abysmal.
My detrimental ways never caused a
disaster worthy of a clip on the local radio
dial- yet I proved to be an adversary
unworthy of such atrocities such as creating
or even eliminating mayhem. The light
flickers on the wooden desk, pushing us
to continue our lives, yet when faced with
such repulsing profundity, I can not help
but to turn off the light; willing it to a restless
slumber. Light bulbs burn out all the time,
but on this pier, it’s life or death. I chose
the middle. The middle of nothing- the middle
of everything. The middle of the middle, if you dare. |
