spill_no_sick Falling In Love With The Board
 Age: 31 Gender: - Posts: 8588 | November 27th, 2006 at 05:24pm Words from a Highschooler
On the eve of yester’s marrow
My companion fell to the sky (surrendering his soul?)
His tears fell upon my own
Washing them down beyond my resolution.
Words from a Three-Year-Old
Yesterday,
My friend died.
I was sad,
And so I cried. |

edit: I can't quote you and it looked sloppy
edit: I was actually reading the rules as I posted this (I clicked on "Post New Subject" in a locked poem) so I was quite aware of them at the time |

| November 27th, 2006 at 05:54pm Yeah, I know, but there need to be some kind of guidelines for people to follow to make this section work better. |

| November 27th, 2006 at 06:13pm I absolutely love the contrast between the two trains of thought. Not to mention the wording from the highschooler's point of view is absolutely beautiful. |

Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 764 | November 28th, 2006 at 06:37pm I love it. The highschooler's wording is spectacular. "Fell to the sky" is such a lovely line and a great way of putting it. The three year old is so honest and gets the same point across as the highschooler (Captian Obivous here). |

Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 23279 | November 28th, 2006 at 06:58pm I really liked the concept and format behind your poem. The high schooler's bit, obviously, was my favorite. The line My companion fell to the sky (surrendering his soul?) I thought was especially good. |

I wrote more in one day than the entire year....and the shortest poem, with the simplest concept, gets the best response
I feel like Kevin Smith watching the audience's response from CLERKS "out of all of those lines of dialogue the favorite scene is when we're dancing like idiots?"
but thank you guys a lot, I'm glad that i didn't peak last year |
