  | December 24th, 2006 at 06:28am It seems as though Christmas has become too commercialized and I realized that when my dad goes out to buy something for my sister, that she will never be happy because she wants it all. Instead of people being happy that they are together, they are unhappy cause they didn't get the latest mp3 or ipod or bratz doll or video game or whatever. Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, and apparently, some people think it's about gifts and what you got this year.
It isn't supposed to be like this.
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, my family
You pretend, and so far, you couldn't laugh
As you smile and hide your evil deeds
Even I can do the easiest math
Christmas, one Jesus was born
Add the angels, happiness and sheperds
Subtract the facts, Jesus was born in June
Yet we contradict with our fake words
For this fake holiday
So obviously commercialized
We smile and eat a dead animal
Cooked and wrongly critisized
Our mended family problems
Merry Christmas to you
Taped together with presents
And a pretend 'I love you, too'
So have a happy holiday
With empty christmas cheer
When you get back to reality
I'll be waiting here. |

So I realised that a happy christmas for me was to be with family. The following day was awesome cos we were, in fact, together. |
